Arsenal reject transfer bid from Sheffield United for Balogun
According to reports coming in from the British media, Arsenal have rejected a bid from fellow Premier League side Sheffield United for their future prospect Folarin Balogun.
Daily Mail UK revealed that Sheffield United made an offer of £3 million plus add-ons for the 19 year-old, but the Gunners are looking to get more for the youth team player, looking for a fee in the region of £15m, comprising an initial fee for the prolific striker with further bonuses.
There is very little chance that the Blades hierarchy will meet their valuation of the player, with the striker currently embroiled in a contract stand-off with Arsenal and is entering the final year of his current deal and will be available on a free next season.
Sheffield United needs more options upfront as they failed to find the net in their home defeat to Wolves on Monday.
Balogun is regarded as one of the best attacking players to graduate from Hale End, and has also attracted transfer interest from Southampton, Brighton, AC Milan and Brentford who saw a £5 million bid for the England U-19 international in January turned down.
