Southampton joins race to sign Super Eagles forward, Emmanuel Dennis

Southampton is the latest team to be linked to Emmanuel Dennis and they have stepped up in their pursuit of the Nigeria international.

According to reports from Daily Echo UK, the Saints are willing to send their defender Wesley Hoedt the other way in the deal to bring the player to the St Mary’s stadium.

Sheffield United and more recently Marseille have shown their interest in securing the services of the explosive forward who is valued at about €20 million by Club Brugge.

The inclusion of Hoedt in the deal could help the club reduce the transfer fee for the Nigerian.

Dennis has played at Club Brugge since 2017 becoming an important player for the Belgian side.

The 22-year-old has won two First Division A titles since his arrival in Belgium scoring 28 goals in 105 appearances for the club.
