Etebo seals loan move to Galatasaray
Turkish Super Lig side Galatasaray and Stoke City have come to an agreement over the loan transfer of Oghenekaro Etebo until the end of the 2020-2021 season.
The Super Eagles midfielder was unveiled at Galatasaray on Wednesday evening after a successful medical at Liv Hospital Ulus.
The signing ceremony was attended by Galatasaray President Mustafa Cengiz, Vice Presidents Abdurrahim Albayrak and Yusuf Günay.
Galatasaray agreed on a loan fee of 675,000 euros, with an option to buy set at 7.5 million euros before the end of the midfielder’s loan spell.
The Super Eagle will receive an annual salary of 1.2 million euros (N594 million) over the duration of his contract with Galatasaray.
In his first words after the deal was sealed, Etebo told Galatasaray TV : “I am very happy to have come to such a big and historic club. Thank you to our president and our vice presidents for their warm welcome.
“I really felt at home. See you at the championship at the end of the season. On this occasion, I would like to thank our President, all technical staff and all our fans for a warm welcome. “
Etebo was handed the number 13 jersey at the signing ceremony.
