Bukayo Saka loses out on PFA YPOTY to Liverpool star
Nigerian-Eligible winger, Bukayo Saka has been beaten to the PFA Young Player of the Year for the 2019-20 season by Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The winger who just turned 19 this month was nominated for the prestigious award alongside Rashford, Trent, Tammy Abraham amongst others.
Bukayo had an exemplary first season at Arsenal and would have been proud of getting nominated but won’t be too disheartened about losing out to Arnold who was one of the key players for Liverpool in their run to a long-awaited Premier league title win.
Dele Alli was the last and only player of Nigerian descent to win the award, winning it back-to-back, from 2015-2017.
Bukayo Saka had 5 assists and scored 1 goal in 26 appearances (7 as substitute) in the Premier league last season.
