Foden lacks respect, Aguero and other talking points of Man City’s 6 – 1 win over Huddersfield

When you sit down lie down to watch Man City’s match biting away at roasted corn… you know you’re in for the time of your life.

Obviously Man city was going to win this one… my bet ticket even said they’d win HT with O1.5; that’s how confident I’ve become in Pep’s ability.

He has transformed Man City into that team everyone wants to watch. Not just because of their status but because of the brand of football they play (I’d like to go back into the past and smack all those who thought football of such high intensity/entertainment wouldn’t work in EPL).

Apart from the roasted corn, here are a few other things that interested me

1. SHOW ME ONE TEAM THAT CAN STOP THIS MAN CITY

Manchester City plays a kind of football that makes it seem like the opponent has no idea what they are doing. Ask Chelsea and Arsenal who seemed like they was no game plan when pitted against the reigning champions. I know you want to mention Liverpool; truly Liverpool plays breathtakingly beautiful football… but look at this Man City team; they do it effortlessly

2. AGUERO WOULD NOT STOP SCORING

Gabriel Jesus would be wondering how soon Aguero will tire out and handover the spotlight to him. That doesn’t seem to be anytime soon. Kun is hungry for goals and knows where to be to get them. Playing in a team that provides him great service… there’s no way he’s slowing down and if he has no injury issues this season maybe that Top scorer spot will be his.

3. MENDY IS THE REAL DEAL

OMG, the strength, the pace, the tenacity, the technique, work rate… this is the kind of left back well suited for Pep’s high intensity game. Mehn Guardiola definitely took his eye to the market. He was involved in a lot of City’s goals today. He reminds mean of Abidal, Evra in their prime. If he wasn’t in the team last season and they played that well… hmmmm let’s customize that trophy already.

4. MAYBE THEY’LL COPE WITHOUT DE BRUYNE

I know it is Huddersfield and obviously they should wipe the floor with them… and in some matches they would need that extra grit to get by; but let us look at this team critically, it is like everyone has learnt one or two things from each other… Everyone chases the ball, run the whole pitch… everyone is busy every time; The question is if that level of fitness can be maintained over the length of the season. If they do cope with de Bruyne’s absence tho…

5. FODEN LACKS RESPECT

I wished Foden played more in this match, the little time he was on, he ridiculed Huddersfield defense so much he should be made to frog jump back into the tunnel; I mean… DAMN
