Chelsea expect Thibaut Courtois to leave the club this summer and are weighing up a move for Roma goalkeeper Alisson.
The Brazilian is expected to command a fee of around £60million with Liverpool and Real Madrid also interested.
The Blues are resigned to Courtois’ departure as the Belgian wants to take his young family back to Madrid.
He held talks over a new deal at Stamford Bridge last December and the club were optimistic they could tie him down on an extended contract.
But an agreement couldn’t be reached and Courtois now looks likely to leave. His representatives spoke to PSG but the French side are set to sign Gianluigi Buffon.
Alisson is the man earmarked as a replacement for Courtois, although Chelsea will have plenty of competition for his signature.
Liverpool are in the market for a new goalkeeper, particularly given Loris Karius’ nightmare in the Champions League final.
Whilst Real have been assessing potential replacements for Keylor Navas for some time.
Roma are willing to listen to offers for the 25-year-old in order to offset their spending and keep themselves within the financial fair play guidelines.
