Lionel Messi says the club are going to miss Andres Iniesta a lot next season.
Iniesta left Barça last week, signing for Japanese club Vissel Kobe, where he was presented over the weekend.
“It’s not just me that’s going to miss [Iniesta], the world of football will miss him,” Messi said in an exclusive interview with Pollo Vignolo.
“OK he’s still going to be playing, but [I won’t] see him on a day to day basis, train with him, play with him… the truth is he leaves a huge hole. It will be difficult to replace him.”
Messi, who is now focused on this summer’s World Cup in Russia, also said that he is “grateful for the way people treat me, but it’s true that sometimes I prefer to just disapppear.”
He added: “More than anything, when I am with my family. I like to be able to pass time with them normally [without attention].”
