Catalan daily newspaper El Mundo Deportivo understands that Liverpool have been showing interest in Espanyol full-back Marc Navarro.
The Reds lack cover for starting right-back Nathaniel Clyne and they are considering a summer bid for the Spanish defender.
Liverpool have been closely monitoring the player’s performances over the last couple of months and they are expected to step up their interest ahead of the summer transfer window.
Marc Navarro has successfully kick-started his career after a knee ligament injury, and he surprised everyone to score in his first two La Liga appearances.
The 21-year-old seems to have made the right-back position his own and he now needs to try and continue the rich vein of form until the end of the season.
Navarro is tied to Espanyol until June 2021 and has a €25 million release clause in his current deal, but he is likely to be available for lot less.
